A court on Thursday convicted the Kuopio city corporation for paying less tax to the government mistakenly. The East Finland appeal court convicted the authority for the less payment of tax and ordered to pay EUR 1.4 million. The court observed that the authority did mistake in tax calculation of the need-based real estate property tax from the years 1998 to 2005. Tax Administration charged little tax from Kuopio because it did not add the residual equity loans to calculation.
