  The Deputy Mayor of Rauma municipality, who has been convicted for assaulting minor children, is likely to face departmental action.   The Satakunta district court on Tuesday convicted the deputy mayor for assaulting the under aged children, and ordered to realise 60 days salary as fine from the convict.   According to the allegation, the Deputy Mayor assaulted the children different times in between 2010 and 2012; the allegations were proved by the court beyond doubt.   Following the conviction, the city council is planning to take measures against the convict as per its rules.   The Chamber group of the ... details

  The mayor of Kinulla, a municipality corporation, was removed on Monday night following his defeat in a no-confidence motion brought against him by the municipal council.   The council at a meeting brought the no-confidence motion against Juha Urpilainen, mayor of  Kinulla in Central Finland without mentioning any specific allegation, which was passed unanimously, meeting sources said.   “The reason for his dismissal has been cited as general lack of confidence,” said the Municipal Council's Chairperson Esko Pelkonen.   The council chairperson added that according to the decision, Urpilainen be relieved of his responsibilities, which will be effective immediately.   The search for a new mayor ... details
