The number of new automobile registration has been declined remarkably in Finland in the last year compared to the year 2011, according to the statistics Finland.

A total of 191,750 vehicles were first registered in Finland from January to December in 2012, which was 11.1 per cent lower compared to the year 2011.

A total of 10,090 new motor vehicles including  7,433  automobiles were registered in December 2012, said the statistics released on Tuesday.

The Report said that the number of First registrations of the vehicles during the December last year was decreased by 14.5 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

The number of first registered automobile is also 7 percent lower in Finland in December last year, which was 6,410 in December 2011.

The has been prepared based on the Vehicular and Driver Data Register of the Finnish Transport Safety Agency, said the press release.

The most common passenger car makes first registered in the January to December period were Volkswagen, Toyota and Skoda, the press release added.
