Fri, 18 Jan, 2013 01:31:05 AM FTimes Report Helsinki, January 18 – A three-day travel fair begins in the Finnish capital on Friday to provide travelers and holidaymakers with necessary information for safe and enjoyable journeys, officials said. Finnish Foreign Ministry’s corner at the MATKA 2013 Travel Fair, to be opened at Helsinki Convention and Exhibition Center, will provide information on safe and sustainable travel, said a ministry release. It will also explain travel bulletin and travel notifications can now be filed easily on a new websiteThe fair will be opened to the public from Friday to Sunday. Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja will be present at the fair at 1500 hours on Friday to answer questions. Consular assistance experts from the Foreign Ministry will also speak about travel safety. Jussi Tanner, Head of the crisis and assistanceteam, will be interviewed on Saturday. The government suggests addressing three Ts (Travel insurance, Travel bulletin, and Travel notification before a holiday is planned. The Foreign Ministry advised the travelers to follow the travel notification issued by the ministry and Finnish embassies on the social media sites.
