The Manager of a housing company allegedly misappropriated more than EUR 100,000 of the company at Pirkanmaa area, a Finnish language newspaper Iltalehti  reported quoting police on Wednesday.

Police suspected that the alleged criminal also left the country for the US to avoid trial. Police is, however, taking measures to initiate trial in absentia.

“The exact amount might be even higher. The investigation is now underway,” the Detective Chief Inspector Joni Länsipuro said.

The detective chief said that the suspected had been working in a medium-sized property management company in Valkeakoski and embezzled the money of 20 apartment buildings out of the total 30 buildings of the company.
