Rare pink diamond on auction in Geneva

The auction house Sotheby's in Geneva on Wednesday presented a rare pink diamond, news agency STT reported quoting AFP.

The 59.6 carat stone will be sold at auction in November. The sale price is estimated at 60 million (EUR 49 million).

The pink diamond is the most precious stone that has ever ended up in the auction, said Sotheby's.

The plum-shaped stone found in the De Beers mine in Africa in 1999.
