Over 13,000 visitors gathered in 2-days

The annual Rovaniemi Snowmobile fair held at the Lappi Arena on 2-3 November, welcomed 

13,726 snowmobile enthusiasts and snowmobile trade professionals from all over Finland and northern Europe. 

This year the event hosted about 100 exhibitors including a number of traders from Norway, Sweden, Estonia and Russia. 

Having been held for last the 5 years, the Rovaniemi Snowmobile fair is one of the city’s most perceptible exhibitions and the biggest of its kind in the continent. 

On Saturday the fair saw a record-breaking 9,791 visitors while on Sunday there were 3,935 guests where a plenty of snowmobile professionals participated to share their experiences.

The fair was organised by Lapin Messut (Lapland Fair Ltd) in cooperation with the Ounasvaara Arena services and Kelekkamessut in Rovaniemi. Starting in 2009, the event has been very popular among exhibitors, and the people of Finland and northern Europe. 

 “Our aim is to introduce renowned snowmobile brands to the Finnish people and at the same time promote Lapland as an ideal place for snowmobile traders and sports,” ErkkiKouksa, public relations officer of Lapland Fair Ltd told the Finland Times.

This year, a number of traders have come from Russia, Norway, Sweden and Estonia. 

Talking to this Correspondent, Lars ØstbyNilsen, manager of Norway based Cylmo said, “This is our first year at the snowmobile fair and we are very impressed. I think this a great opportunity to find new consumers and also know the other companies.”

“For snowmobile enthusiasts, this event is a big boost and a source of great inspiration. However, we also welcome families and we have got a great response from visitors,” MikkoVikström, the CEO of Lapin Messut said on the inaugural day of the fair.

The fair is attracting more and more visitors gradually for its wide variety of choices, the organizers observed admitting gratefulness to various hotel services for providing necessary facilities to the attendees.

Sami Ylisirniö, a salesman of the “All Right Europe,” who is participated in the fair for the first time this year said, “We are happy to attend this fair because this is a very interesting and nice event where we can display our products and easily get hold of useful contracts.” 

The snowmobile fair ended with a raffled draw and a survey on visitors titled “The use of money and consumer behaviour on trade shows, fairs”. The results of the study will be announced in December.

Meanwhile, Eeva-Kaisa won the raffle draw and took a SinisaloRacecult snowmobile helmet, the prize, while two snowmobile Smith Fuel V2 Goggles went to HeikkiJänkäläSodankylä and Arne BergesenVardo of Norway.
