According to Statistics Finland, the wages and salaries sum of the whole economy grew by 1.3% year-on-year in November alone. In the September-November period one year ago, the wages and salaries sum grew by 2.3%.
The figure grew during the said period in all the main industries other than manufacturing (-1.8 %) and education services provided by the private sector, where growth came to a halt.
The sum grew fastest in the private health and social work services (+5.5%).
The wages and salaries sum data of the private sector (Classification of Sectors 2012: 11102-3) is added to the wages and salaries indices release starting from the data concerning January 2014.
The sum refers to the total of the gross wages and salaries paid to employees without incentive stock options.
