Forbes announced on Wednesday the plans to launch its latest international edition, Forbes Finland, in partnership with SK Media Group, said a press release.

The launch will be held in Helsinki with the first issue published at the beginning of summer. Forbes Finland will have an initial circulation of 50,000.

The content of Forbes Finland will consist of 60% Finnish business news, commentary and features, and 40% editorial from Forbes magazines from around the world.

The Finnish edition will be published monthly in Finnish language.

SK Media Group also publishes Forbes Latvia and Forbes Estonia, launched in 2010 and 2012 respectively. The license agreement for Finland also encompasses the launch of Forbes in Sweden and Norway.

Arkadijs Steimans, publishing director of SK Media Group, said: “We are proud to launch Forbes magazine in Finland – a country truly considered a European hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Forbes magazine has already become extremely successful around the world and we feel confident it will become the leading business magazine in Finland as well.”

Forbes President of Worldwide Development Miguel Forbes stated: “We’re excited about Forbes’ expansion into the Scandinavian countries starting with Finland. SK Media Group has had a lot of success in the Baltic countries and we’re confident that the group will develop an important presence for the newly launched edition in Finland. This launch continues our rapid expansion into Europe, which has become a very important strategic footprint for Forbes.”
