Nordea announced that the new cuts are part of its programme which it announced in January.
Currently, Nordea employs about 7,700 people in the country.
Nousu, the union that represents Nordea employees believes that Nordea does not need to engage in the measure of reducing its work force as it makes excellent profits.
Nousu in a statement said that such measure will make employees suffer as well weaken the service.
The representatives of Nousu are expected to hold a meeting next week to explore options to combat the planned job cuts.
Nordea also announced on Wednesday that it is planning to open a call centre that will employ 60 people in its first phase.
