The number of people registered as unemployed in Spain fell by 111,565 people in April in comparison with March to a total of 4,684,301 people, official data indicated Tuesday.
     
The number of people unemployed fell by 304,892 people in April when compared with the same month in 2013, which meant a 6.11 percent fall on a year on year basis, said the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.
     
Unemployment fell in April in all sectors when compared with March. The number of people out of work fell by 6,238 people in the agriculture sector, by 8,282 people in the industry sector, by 11,203 people in the construction sector and by 84,706 people in the services sector.
     
The number of men unemployed fell by 58,075 people in April to a total of 2,262,612 people in comparison with March, while the number of women unemployed decreased by 53,490 people to a total of 2,421,689 people.
     
Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said the data was positive and sees "hope for the future."
     
He stressed that Spain would create new job opportunities in the following months although warned "things cannot be solved in one day," but assured "the worst is gone."
