The retail chain Bauhaus is starting an employer-employee negotiations to cut workforces in all its outlets in the country, reported the Finnish language newspaper Kaleva.
 
The negotiations about 50 workers at the first phase will take place on Tuesday.
 
Bauhaus has about 500 employees in Finland.
 
Negotiations are primarily concerned with supervisors and the administrative staff. People working as sales personnel, however, will not face the termination, said sources.
 
Bauhaus has department stores in Espoo, Oulu, Raisio, Tampere and Vantaa in Finland.
 
The company has not yet specified how the employer-employee negotiations will be targeted at each of the department stores.
 
Bauhaus has more than 250 stores in 17 European countries.
