Output of total industries adjusted for working days was 5.1 per cent lower year-on-year in February 2015, according to Statistics Finland.
 
The industrial output declined by 4.9 per cent in January to February period compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
 
Seasonally adjusted industrial output went down by 0.4 per cent from January to February.
 
In January, seasonally adjusted output went down by two per cent. 
 
 
Industrial output diminished in all main industries in February. Output declined by most, or by good 18 per cent, in mining and quarrying. 
 
The output diminished by 5.3 per cent in the chemical industry. In the metal industry, the output decreased by 4.7 per cent in February, the data show.

The capacity utilisation rate in manufacturing (C) was 78.9 per cent, or 0.3 percentage points higher in February than one year earlier. 
 
In the forest industry, capacity utilisation rate was 84.3 per cent in February, or 2.9 percentage points lower than in February 2014. 
 
In the metal industry, capacity utilisation rate was 79.9 per cent in February, which was 2.3 percentage points higher than one year earlier.
