Defense industry company Patria has finished the co-determination negotiations it began in February at its Land division which will lose 55 office workers and 19 other employees. The redundancies will be terminated this month.
They also explained that they will offer new jobs for the laid off employees within the Patria concern or with its subcontractors.
According to the company, the reductions are driven by a change in business and development models, as well as production and economic reasons. The company has seen a sharp decline in order volumes.
The co-determination negotiations affect employees in Hämeenlinna and Tampere.
There are currently 340 employees. The Land division's products and services include armoured vehicles, mortars and support services.
