In March alone, the wages and salaries sum of the whole economy grew by 3.3 per cent year-on-year, according to Statistics Finland.
The wages and salaries sum grew by 0.3 per cent in the first quarter of 2014.
The total amount of wages and salaries grew in the January to March period of 2015 in all main industries.
The growth in the wages and salaries sum was fastest in the private health and social work (3.8 %), construction (3.5 %) and other services (2.7 %), the data show.
The rising of the wages and salaries sum was most moderate in the private sector providing educational services and trade.
The wages and salaries sum grew by 2.2 per cent in the private sector year-on-year.

In March alone, the wages and salaries sum in the private sector grew by 4 per cent and in the public sector by 2.1 per cent from one year earlier.
In the January to March period one year ago the wages and salaries sum grew by 0.4 per cent in the public sector and 0.2 per cent in the private sector as per the statistics.
The wages and salaries sum refers to the sum total of the gross wages and salaries paid to employees without incentive stock options.
