Elina Engman has left Voimaosakeyhtiö SF, the parent company and the main owner of Fennovoima after she was dismissed by the authority.

Engman's place has been taken over by Jussi Lehto who was confirmed the new CEO of Voimaosakeyhtiö SF. Lehto also sits in the company's board.

The chair of Voimaosakeyhtiö SF's board Pertti Laukkanen admitted to news agency STT that Engman was dismissed.

According to Laukkanen, Lehto's appointment is not temporary and will continue as the CEO of both companies.

“Fennovoima’s nuclear power plant project is proceeding towards construction. Therefore it was decided that also Voimaosakeyhtiö SF, representing the Finnish owners of the project, need new leadership skills and resources. From now on the focus of Voimaosakeyhtiö will move from attracting new owners to supporting the progress of the project,” Laukkanen said in a Voimaosakeyhtiö SF release.
