Mutual pension insurance company Ilmarinen on Friday sold the majority of its Finnlines shares to Grimaldi Group.
Ilmarinen owned 10.58 percent of Finnlines shares before the deal.
After the conclusion of the agreement Ilmarinen would only have a single share in Finnlines.
Ilmarinen wants to continue to be a shareholder in Finnlines because a judicial process in the Court of Appeal concerning a dispute which started in 2008 on Finnline's dividend distribution is still pending.
In the application, Ilmarinen demanded a higher dividend from Finnlines than what Finnlines had decided in its Annual General Meeting in 2008.
