Prices for old single-family houses fell by an average of 0.3 per cent in the third quarter of 2015 from the previous year in the whole country.
 
In Greater Helsinki, prices went down by 0.9 per cent from the corresponding period last year and in the rest of the country by 0.2 per cent, according to Statistics Finland’s data derived from Index of real estate prices.
 
Compared with the previous quarter, prices of old dwellings in detached houses decreased by an average of 2.9 per cent in the whole country.
 
In the whole country, the average price per square metre of old single-family houses was EUR 1,516 in the third quarter of 2015.
 
In Greater Helsinki, the average price per square metre of detached houses was EUR 3,030. In the rest of the country, the average price per square metre was EUR 1,440 as per the index compiled by utilising data from the real estate transaction register of the National Land Survey of Finland.

In the third quarter of 2015, prices of detached house plots fell by 9.8 per cent in the whole country from the year before.
 
From the previous quarter, prices of plots decreased by 4.9 per cent. The average price per square metre for a single-family house plot was EUR 19.6 in the whole country and the average plot size was 2,297 square metres.
 
Prices for new single-family houses rose by an average of 0.7 per cent in the third quarter from the previous year in the whole country.
 
Compared with the previous quarter, prices rose by 0.5 per cent.
