Producer prices for manufactured products fell by an average of 3.0 per cent year-on-year in November 2015, according to Statistics Finland.

The producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market and the producer prices of export products went down by 3.0 per cent.

The fall in the producer prices for manufactured products was particularly caused by reductions in the prices of oil products and manufacturing of basic metals from November 2014.

The fall in producer prices was slowed down especially by higher prices of paper and paper board products.

The export price index fell by 2.9 per cent and the import price index by 6.6 per cent in the year.

The Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply went down by 3.6 per cent. The Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply including taxes fell by 2.9 per cent, the data show.

Export prices were in particular depressed by the falling prices of oil products and manufacturing of basic metals from November 2014.

The fall in prices was slowed down especially by higher prices of paper and paper board products.

The fall in import prices was in turn especially caused by lower prices of oil products and manufacturing of basic metals compared with the previous year's November.

The fall in prices was slowed down, in particular, by higher prices of electronic appliances as per the statistics.

From October to November, producer prices for manufactured products fell by 0.3 per cent.

The drop was mainly due to lower prices of manufacturing of basic metals from the previous month.
