The chair of Parliamentary Constitutional Committee and member of parliament Kaj Turunen is intending to take the matter related to the planned huge increase of electricity transfer fee before the committee.
Turunen revealed his plan in a Tweeter feed where he questioned the justification of the huge increase by the companies.
Finnish largest electricity distributor Caruna last week announced plans to hike electricity transfer fees by an average of 27 percent.
Several other companies have also announced plans to increase the fees.
For example, Helen Sähköverkko Oy increment will be about 9 percent while Järvi-Suomen Energia had already raised the fees at the beginning of January by approximately 15 percent.
