Turnover in manufacturing in the September to November period was 5.8 per cent lower than in the corresponding period of the year before, according to Statistics Finland.
Domestic sales contracted by 2.3 per cent and export turnover by 8.3 per cent from one year ago.
Turnover went down from the corresponding period of the previous year in nearly all manufacturing sub-industries as per the data.
The drop was fastest in the chemical industry, 16.0 per cent, and in the electrical and electronics industry, 13.2 per cent.
Only the forest industry generated slightly more turnover than in the year before, 0.5 per cent, the statistics show.
Turnover went down from the corresponding period of the previous year in nearly all manufacturing (C) sub-industries.
