The seasonally adjusted turnover of large enterprises grew by 0.1 per cent in January 2016 compared with December 2015, according to Statistics Finland's preliminary data.

In December, seasonally adjusted turnover fell by 0.4 per cent, while in November it was 0.3 per cent higher than in the month before.

The turnover of large enterprises not adjusted for seasonal variation fell by 3.3 per cent year-on-year in January 2016, according to the data.

The turnover of large enterprises went down by 1.9 per cent in November to January from one year ago.

The turnover estimate of large enterprises is based on a sample formed of 2,000 enterprises with the most significant turnover in manufacturing, construction, trade and other service industries.

Excluded from the statistics are enterprises engaged in primary production, and bank and insurance activities.
