The volume of Finland’s gross domestic product increased in October to December by 0.1 per cent from the previous quarter, according to Statistics Finland's preliminary data.
 
Compared with the fourth quarter of 2014, GDP adjusted for working days grew by 0.6 per cent.
 
The volume of GDP grew by 0.4 per cent year-on-year in 2015.
 
The volume of GDP in the third quarter of 2015 contracted by 0.2 per cent from the previous quarter, but grew by 0.3 per cent from twelve months back.
 
The volume of exports grew by 0.6 per cent and that of imports by 1.6 per cent in the fourth quarter from the previous quarter.
 
Gross fixed capital formation or investments increased by 1.7 per cent from the third quarter, the statistics show.
 
The volume of private consumption grew by 0.2 per cent and the volume of public consumption expenditure by 0.4 per cent from the previous quarter.
 
Calculated at current prices, the private consumption expenditure went up by 0.6 per cent and public consumption expenditure by 0.4 per cent from the third quarter.
