Nordea Board of Directors Chairman Björn Wahlroos has expressed his dissatisfaction at both the economic and the political states of Finland.

“The game is almost lost in Finland. Industrial investments have not reached their depreciation period in seven years. It means Finland’s industrialisation will stop,” Wahlroos said in an interview with the Swedish language newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet.

Wahlroos also believes that the best politicians have disappeared.

“I’m worried that politics is no longer attractive. If I had been asked only a moment ago who are the politicians I respect the most, I would have named Carl Haglund [RKP], Jan Vapaavuori [Kokoomus] and Matti Vanhanen [Keskusta]. What do they all have in common? They have left or are leaving politics,” said Wahlroos.
