The Fazer food group will buy back the Domino, Jaffa and Fanipala brands. This acquisition strengthens Fazer's share of the biscuit market.

The brands were owned by Mondelez for a while. Fazer already acquired the Vantaa biscuit factory production from Kraft Foods in 2012.

The brands have been on the Finnish market for a long time. Domino was launched in 1953, Jaffa in 1969 and Fanipala in 1997.

According to Fazer, Domino is Finland's most prestigious brand.

“The return of these beloved Finnish classic biscuits to the Fazer ranger is an excellent oppor-tunity for us. We are always developing our range in light of changing consumer needs,” said managing director of Fazer Confectionery Rolf Landau.

Fazer's biscuit production was already underway in 1929.
