The prices went down by 0.4 per cent in Greater Helsinki, while they went up by 1.6 per cent in the rest of Finland.
Compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, the prices rose by 0.8 per cent in the whole country.
In Greater Helsinki, the prices went up by 2.3 per cent from the year before, but in the rest of Finland they went down by 0.6 per cent, the data show.
In May, the average price per square metre of an old dwelling in a housing company was EUR 2,272 in the whole country, EUR 3,532 in Greater Helsinki and EUR 1,707 elsewhere in the country.
