The Mint of Finland on Monday announced the reaching of agreement with the Central Bank of Dominican Republic on manufacturing of RD$1.00 denomination coins.
The production and the deliveries will occur in 2016, said the Mint of Finland in a release.
“This deal is important for us both in the coin factory in Vantaa, Finland and in the blank factory in Halsbrucke, Germany. We are very happy for strengthening our position in the Caribbean,” CEO Paul Gustafsson of Mint of Finland said.
The Group operates in three different countries and delivers blanks and circulation coins to cen-tral banks and mints globally.
The company also offers collector coins to retailers and to consumers interested in gifts and col-lecting, via its online shop.
