House rents increased by 2.7 per cent year-on-year during the second quarter of 2016, according to Statistics Finland.
The rents of non-subsidised rental dwellings went up by an average of 2.4 per cent in the whole country.
The rents of non-subsidised rental dwellings went up by 2.5 per cent in the Greater Helsinki Area and by 2.4 per cent in the rest of Finland.
The rents of government subsidised dwellings rose by 3.1 per cent in the whole country, the statistics show.
Compared to the previous quarter, the rents of non-subsidised dwellings increased by an average of 0.6 cent and the rents of government subsidised dwellings by 0.9 per cent.
The rent statistics are based on interview data collected in connection with the Labour Force Survey and on the Population Register Centre’s Building and Dwelling Register.
