Wed, 10 Aug, 2016 12:02:19 AM FTimes – STT Report, Aug 10 File Photo – Lehtikuva. The American e-commerce giant Amazon is coming to Finland, according to a report run by the Tivi, an ICT and business news outlet.
The Tivi cited a notification issued by the professional social network LinkedIn saying Amazon had a recruitment event on Tuesday in Espoo.
On Wednesday, Amazon will recruit Finnish workers from Tampere.
The unit responsible for the e-book business Kindle was searching for a team of, for example, software and hardware professionals, technical project managers, sales and marketing people.
Both Espoo and Tampere have been subject to Microsoft’s codetermination negotiations, so those areas have a lot of former Nokia mobile phone employees.
Amazon’s official recruitment website does not show any visible vacancies in Finland.
Amazon has about 270,000 employees across the globe.
