Wed, 10 Aug, 2016 12:00:13 AM FTimes – STT Report, Aug 10 File Photo – Lehtikuva. The Customs department will auction off 36 vehicles fortified to the state and those which have not undergone customs clearance at Raja-Jooseppi border crossing point, said the Cutoms in a press release.
According to the Customs, the vehicles will be auctioned on September 3 at the border crossing point.
The vehicles will be on display for the public on the auction day from 9 am to 11 am at Raja-Jooseppi border crossing point.
Value added tax of 24 per cent will be added to the auction price and the payment must be in cash or with a cheque verified by a bank, unless otherwise notified.
A vehicle purchased at a customs auction may not be used in traffic or registered before the car tax imposed on it is paid.
The Customs will provide further information regarding the auction, such as terms and conditions and a detailed list of the goods to be sold, prior to the event.
The Customs last month auctioned 128 vehicles which were abandoned by asylum seekers at the Salla border crossing point.
