The Chairman of the trade union Pro, Jorma Malinen on Wednesday demanded that the government should find out means to reverse or reduce long term unemployment in the country.

Malinen believes that the budget review should find more ways in which to increase training opportunities, in particular for the unemployed people.

According to Malinen, there should be sufficient resources to pay special attention to education.

He pointed out that governmental expenditure gives rise to a fear that the government wishes to promote a low paid workforce at the expense of peoples' wellbeing and livelihood.
