In July, seasonally adjusted turnover fell by 0.4 per cent, while in June the turnover remained on level with the previous month.
The turnover of large enterprises not adjusted for seasonal variation grew by 4.5 per cent in August 2016 compared with August 2015.
The turnover of large enterprises decreased by 0.8 per cent in January to August from one year ago, the data show.
Excluded from the statistics are enterprises engaged in primary production, and bank and insurance activities.
The enterprises described in the statistics make up nearly 70 per cent of the turnover of all enterprises operating in Finland, represent more than one-half of the investments made and employ good 40 per cent of the personnel of all enterprises.
