The amount of consumer credit granted by monetary financial institutions (MFI) is on the rise.
According to the Bank of Finland, consumer credit has grown more than 300 million euros over the past six months, and at the end of August, amounted to 14.4 billion euros in total.
The growth has recently been the fastest in longer than five-year loans.
The annualised consumer credit growth has remained close to the average rate of the last two years. It was 3.7 percent in August.
Consumer credit includes all loans granted to households for consumption, such as auto loans.
