Telecommunications and networking company Ericsson will hold codetermination negotiations which could lead to as many as 175 layoffs in Kirkkonummi and Oulu.

“The redundancies will affect product development, services, and business administration the most," said a press release issued by the Ericsson authorities on Tuesday.

Codetermination negotiations will begin on October 11. Currently, Ericsson employs about 900 in Finland.

In Sweden, Ericsson announced on Monday the layoffs of 3,000 employees following codetermination negotiations.
