The Minister of Economic Affairs Olli Rehn has not encountered cases where wind power infra sounds have caused explosion of bats.
In an interview with Finnish language daily Helsingin Sanomat's HSTV, Rehn said that such an occurrence has not happened in his sight.
Rehn was commenting on Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) party official Matti Putkonen proposal that wind power new licences should be suspended indefinitely until health effects of infra sound are established.
The minister said that the concerns of the citizens are understandable and that the effects of wind power on the environment will be monitored and discussed continuously.
