Seasonally adjusted output fell by 1.2 per cent in August from the month before, according to Statistics Finland’s revised data.
 
Adjusted for working days, the output was 0.1 per cent lower than one year before.
 
Working day adjusted output grew in July by 1.9 per cent (previously 1.5 per cent) from July 2015.
 
Working day adjusted primary production remained on level with the previous year. Secondary production increased by four per cent and services contracted by one per cent from August 2015.

Primary production refers to agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing while secondary production includes manufacturing and construction.
 
Services comprise trade, hotel and restaurant activities, transport and business activities, as well as real estate, renting and research services, financial intermediation and insurance, and public services.
