Actions of the Startup Refugees -network will expand to Oulu, Jyväskylä and Turku next year.

The network founded by Riku Rantala and Tuomas Milonoff in autumn of 2015 aims to harness the professional skills of refugees arrived in Finland for the best of the society.

During this year the network united 350 enterprises and communities with a thousand inter-viewed refugees in six areas.

Currently twenty new enterprises founded by refugees are in starting phase.

During next year 2,000 refugees will be charted for skills by the local coordinators to be combined with the needs of their local network.

One example of the successes of the network is a Saarijärvi based enterprise that markets Finnish products for Arabic speaking countries.
