The turnover of construction enterprises went up by 8.4 per cent and the sales volume by 6.1 per cent year-on-year in the June to August period of 2016.
In the corresponding period of 2015, the growth was slightly faster than this year, 8.9 per cent year-on-year, according to Statistics Finland.
The turnover continued to grow in all construction industries.
The growth was strongest in building construction, where 9.9 per cent more turnover was accumulated than one year earlier in June to August.
The turnover of specialised construction activities grew by 8.6 per cent and that of civil engineering by 4.5 per cent, the data show.
The sales volume of construction enterprises in building construction was 6.8 per cent up year-on-year in June to August. In civil engineering, the sales volume grew by 6.7 per cent and in specialised construction by 5.5 per cent.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
