Tuomioja to visit Riga, Tallinn

The Foreign Minister, Erkki Tuomioja will leave Helsinki on Monday on a visit to Latvia and Estonia, said a foreign ministry press release.
The minister is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs on cooperation in the Baltic Sea region, and the EU's Eastern Partnership in Riga during his visit.
 
Tuomioja will be one of the speakers at the launch of the Latvian edition of the Finnish history by Professor Henrik Meinander, at Riga Stradins University.
 
In Tallinn, the minister will participate in the launch of the Estonian translation of Olavi Paavolainen's novel "Synkkä yksinpuhelu", translated by Piret Saluri.
 
 Former Prime Minister of Estonia Mart Laar, currently an MP in the Estonian Parliament, will also attend the book launch ceremony, the press release added.
