FTimes-STT Report, February 10

Although the Prime Minister and the minister for Finance on Saturday appreciated the European Union budget for 2014-2020, the provincial leaders termed the budget is a slim decline from that was originally anticipated.

The Prime Minister, Jyrki Katainen and the Finance Minister Jutta Urpilainen  praised the outcome of the EU summit and said that the summit eventually reached to a solution for the multi-annual budget of 2014-20.

The ministers, however, bluntly rejected the notion that Finaland would have to go to Denmark for claiming the fee refund.

The media already reported that  the Sweden, Germany, UK and Austria are to go to Denmark for claiming the so called fee refund.

The ministers said that the Finland delegates are more than happy for the outcome of the summit, in particular, they have achieved Eur 600 milion for the agriculture sector.

"incredibly happy" the Prime Minister told the STT expressing his view, adding that as regards the rebate Finland is assumed to employ two different methods.

For example, either they may start a fresh negotiation or  simply they will decline the whole idea in general, but never adopt the style that Denmark has opted.

According to the Finance minister,  Urpilainen the whole package is extremely wonderful  and the tactics that they  had employed successfully.

Meanwhile, the provincial leaderships of Eastern and Northern Finland have expressed  dissatisfaction over the outcome of the budget on some specific points.

In separate statements they said that the budget is a slim decline from that was originally anticipated.

They felt unhappy because of the reason that the main agenda of the budget proposal from Finland was to increase the fund of the Eastern and Northern Finland.

But the final outcome of the budget did not meet the hope and aspiration of the Eastern and Northern Finland farmers dream.

The comment came from  Matti Viialainen , a prominent leader of Savo Regional Council.

Pauli Harju , Leader of the Northern Ostrobothnia  also commented on the budget
