The parliamentary committee on  Foreign Affairs on Friday  appreciated the role of Finnish soldiers  deployed in the South Lebanon under the United Nations Peace Mission and hailed the decision to deploy 150 more defense forces  there.

The government decided to increased the Finnish soldiers to Lebanon from 200 to 350 and the Finnish team will lead the UN troops their along with the Irish soldiers till 2015.

Terming the situation of Lebanon as vulnerable, the Foreign Affairs Committee said that the deployment of more  soldiers there was the demand  for ensure peace and security.

The committee member also observed that the recent crisis in Syria has been another reason to deepened the anxiety for Lebanon. 

They said that that Syrian crisis is the major threat for the surroundings countries.

The committee said that the condition of Syria was deteriorating day by day, which was a major concern for the regional peace and security.
