Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja begins today a two-day official visit to India to discuss various bilateral issues and different aspects of bilateral relations.
 
Tuomioja will meet his Indian counterpart Salman Khurshid and discuss international and regional issues, said a government press release.
 
The agenda include the security policy situation of South Asia, cooperation between the European Union and India, the situation in Syria and Iran, sustainable development including climate change, and the India Action Plan that Finland has published recently.
 
During the visit, Tuomioja will also meet representatives of the Indian administration, the main opposition party, and other influential persons of the Indian society, the press release added.
