A court on Thursday sentenced a person to one year conditional imprisonment on charge of committing cyber crime. 

The Kymenlaakso district court awarded the punishment to the criminal for spying the private life of the people at the locality by collecting information from their home computers.

The convict, educated in electronic and computer technology was charged for hacking 124 computers with malwares and witnessed the activities of young women collected through webcam without informing them in 2010-2011.

The convict made at least 20 malware programs which he spread in scam sites he made.

Police recovered more than four million files from his possession.

The court also ordered the convict to pay compensation in different amount from EUR 500 to EUR 1000 to the victims for their sufferings.
