FTimes-STT Report, June 7
A man was accused for death of his minor baby at Oulu in February this year.
The district Prosecutor on Thursday told the court that the baby died due to shaking by the father on the Valentine’s Day.
The man shook the baby of four months which damaged drastically the baby’s health. The baby got a life-threatening brain haemorrhage.
According to the Prosecutor, the baby died due to lack of immediate surgery and effective follow-up care.
The Prosecutor demanded that the man of 31 years old is responsible for the death and he should be sent to 1 year and 10 month conditional imprisonment.
The prosecutor also demanded financial punishment to the accused.
Oulu district court will deliver the verdict of the case on June 18.
