FTimes-STT Report, June 8
Four or five prisons in the country are likely to be closed by the year 2025 due to non-availability of the prisoners and for cutting expenditure.
The Criminal Sanctions Agency administrators have suggested the closure of the prisons to cope with the state budget requirements. The closing of prisons could be done by 2025.
The biggest changes are expected to take place in East and North Finland. The Agency is making a final report to the department of justice.
