The visiting Russian president is scheduled to hold talks with his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinistö at his summer residence at Kultaranta in Naantali, president office sources said.
The meeting will focus on Finnish-Russian bilateral relations, EU-Russia relations and other international issues.
The presidents will also visit Turku to participate in the 60th anniversary celebration of Turku- Petersburg twinning agreement and visit the nearby maritime centre Forum Marinum.
It is the first meeting between the presidents of two neighbouring countries after Putin’s name was included as criminal suspect in the secret list of National Bureau of Intelligence (NBI) in April this year.
The Finnish authority, however, claimed that Putin’s name was included in the NBI list mistakenly and apologised for the mistake.
The last meeting between Niinistö and Putin was held in Moscow in February this year.
