FTimes-STT Report, June 29

Two brothers were sentenced to jail on Friday in different terms on charges for attempt to murder and robbery in Espoo in July last year.

The Espoo district court awarded the punishments to Jari Kristian Hämäläinen ( 22) and Tapani Hämäläinen ( 19)  for eight years and six-and-a-half-year imprisonment respectively.

The two brothers stabbed a man and wounded him critically as the man allegedly violated the girl friend of one of them.

They also took away EUR 100 and the mobile phone from the man after beating him seriously.

The court in the verdict said that the allegations brought by the two brothers against the victim were false and they entered into the house of the victim and took away the money and valuables, and so they were convicted for attempt to murder and robbery.
