An appeal court on Friday reduced jail term of a Finnish modeling boss convicted of sexual abuses by two years, court officials said.

The Helsinki Appeal Court reduced the imprisonment of Tero Petteri Eronen, 49, entrepreneur and Programme officer of the model company, to 11 years from 13 years jail-term pronounced earlier by a district court.

Eronen was charged for 20 crimes including rape, sexual harassment and human trafficking as the evidences say he allured a number of young women when they came to him for building up career as model girls and abused them sexually between 2003 and 2011.

The court in its observation said that after being abused, the women suffered from depression and self destruction. The court also convicted Eeronen for an exaggeration and attempt to murder.

Another official of the model company Alex Hallikainen was also sentenced to 4 years in jail and the appeal court upheld the district court’s judgment.

The Appeal court, however, reduced the imprisonment of Eeronen’s girlfriend Olga Arkhipovas to two years and two months from the previous imprisonment of two years and seven months awarded by the district court.
