Two people - a woman and a man were killed at Maunuksela area in Kouvola late Sunday night.
Police recovered the bullet riddled body of the man from inside a house and that of the middle aged woman from a nearby garden after the incident.
Police initially said that both of them might be killed by gunshots as they found bullet wounds in the bodies.
A number of teams of patrol police rushed to the spot and cordoned the areas during the recovery drive of the bodies.
Police, however, did not suspect the involvement of any third party in connection with the murders.
