One more accused is facing trial for his alleged involvement in the EUR three million robbery at a jewelry shop in Malmi in early 2011.

The Helsinki District Court on Wednesday heard the allegation of the fifth suspect of the robbery and framed charge against him.

The prosecutor demanded six years imprisonment for the accused.

The man, however, in the court denied the charges brought against him.

The court is expected to pronounce the verdict in next week.

Police said that five persons were involved in the robbery.

Four of them were produced before the court earlier and the court sent two to jail while the rest were acquitted of the charges.

The gang of bandits took away valuables and gold worth about EUR three million from the jewelry shop, police said.
